Summary of profile:
I have been in the industry for over 30 years, starting out in engineering after leaving university back in 1987 with an honours degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
My knowledge and expertise span various sectors with a main focus on fast track Office Fit-out, Commercial, Residential and Educational sectors – successfully delivering schemes for a varied client base and tenant/occupant mix.
I have brought my own, unique leadership dynamic to the practice, instigating Health & Well Being and developing our WELL profile.
My passion for managing and mentoring people is what drives my role at FLATT, working with a fantastic team where I consistently influence the business in its direction and vision whilst providing support and guidance for younger engineers to develop their own unique skills.
I remain an engineer at heart and as a Director, I am driven by staying close to the design stage of projects to support and strengthen our teams with my many years of experience – exploring all potential options and mitigating risk so that ultimately, the client has a solution which is consultative and well thought through.
Outside of engineering
I am an avid supporter of extreme sports. Motorsports is my real passion and since his childhood karting achievements, I have been supporting my son where I now share the driving seat with him at Club Racing in a Caterham Class series!
I enjoy sailing boats and yachts and have taken part in Sailing Regatta’s over the years.
