Summary of profile:
My career in building services began in the gas trade, where I spent several years developing hands-on experience in heating systems, installations and maintenance. This gave me a strong understanding of how buildings work in practice and provided a solid foundation for my progression into mechanical engineering and building services consultancy.
Since moving into consultancy in 2014, I have spent over a decade delivering mechanical design and managing projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, high-end residential and healthcare. I have worked across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to completion, covering RIBA Stages 1–6. My experience includes major commercial refurbishments and large-scale residential developments, with M&E packages valued at up to £26 million.
Throughout my career, I have taken ownership of projects from early design through to delivery, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, commercially viable engineering solutions. I have also held senior engineering roles, mentoring junior engineers, supporting team development and ensuring projects are delivered to a high technical standard.
Alongside project delivery, I have developed a strong track record in business development and building long-term client relationships. I enjoy identifying new opportunities, developing connections and working collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and deliver the right outcomes. I believe that combining technical expertise with a practical, commercially aware approach is key to successful project delivery.
As an Associate Director at FLATT, I will lead my own team, drawing on my experience in mechanical engineering, project delivery and client development to support the continued growth of the business. I look forward to building strong relationships, developing talented engineers and delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.
