Summary of profile:

After graduating from the University of Glasgow with a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, I took a year out leading cycle tours in France until I decided it was time to put my degree to use.

My career started with a small consultancy in Sheffield in January 2008, where most of my projects were in the prison sector. After two years I moved to London and for 12 years, I worked in many different sectors from healthcare to education, residential and commercial.

I joined Flatt Consulting in 2021 to benefit from the vast experience I could gain in working with projects and buildings targeting high levels of net zero carbon goals. Now, most of my work is both new build and refurbishment projects across diverse sectors including hotels, commercial, residential and mixed use. I lead the project and mechanical teams to provide solutions that are efficient, sustainable and suited to their environments.

I get a real buzz from working on refurbishment projects, breathing new life into old buildings and using modern technology to enhance the sustainability of a building and reduce its carbon footprint.

Outside of engineering

I enjoy sports such as football, rugby, and motorsport I play table tennis in a local league and most summers you can find me pedalling my bike up a mountain in the South of France!
