Summary of profile:
In 1999, I began my working life at a large multi-disciplinary consultancy, taking advantage of the sponsorship programme, which is also where I earned my BEng (Hons) Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Working whilst learning gave me an excellent grounding into the industry, applying my new-found knowledge to everyday engineering problem solving. As a young graduate, I was given tremendous responsibility early on and it is then I realised my passion and skill for leadership and creating new relationships with others.
I joined FLATT, sharing mutual ambitions for improving the built environment and for investing in talent. I have a passion for helping others realise their ambitions and operate FLATT’s coaching forum for those keen to pursue their own professional qualifications including Chartership.
I utilise my knowledge and expertise within the industry to successfully deliver schemes for various sectors with a main focus on large scale, mixed-use, residential developments. My pragmatic and perceptive approach and tenacious determination ensures the prompt delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
Being involved in every aspect of the project and guiding a great team of engineers from the project brief through to practical completion – I bring significant experience to every project I lead.
Outside of engineering
Family is really important to me. We love going on walks/ treks and recently reached our 10-mile goal!
I thoroughly enjoy watching my children watch all the classic films and TV shows that I enjoyed as a child, seeing them enjoy the same feelings I had whilst growing up.
