Summary of profile:

Starting out in the industry, some 25 years ago, I first trained as an electrician which gave me a broad experience in the detailed design of internal and external lighting, along with a range of electrical systems; fire alarms, LV and HV power design, critical systems and much more.

As an Associate and project lead, I’m responsible for the overall design and coordination of projects, working closely with clients to ensure their vision is realized throughout every stage. I take pride in being the main point of contact, guiding projects from concept to completion while ensuring quality, efficiency, and clear communication across all teams involved. My role allows me to manage and integrate multiple design elements, helping deliver successful outcomes that meet both client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Although my primary expertise is in electrical design—including power, lighting, and building systems—I also have extensive knowledge across other disciplines such as mechanical, energy, and fire protection. This broader understanding enables me to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to well-rounded, cohesive design solutions. I enjoy the challenge of integrating these various elements and take a holistic approach to problem-solving, always aiming to deliver efficient, innovative, and sustainable outcomes.

Outside of engineering:

I am a keen musician, playing electric guitar in church most weeks, I enjoy cycling on the south downs and running. I also enjoy designing in my spare time and have assisted many friends with kitchen, lighting and even furniture designs.
