UCL are undertaking a complete refurbishment of the building to provide accommodation suitable for world class clinical scientific research, including new roof extension, to provide new laboratory teaching and research facilities.

Charles Bell House will bring together researchers from surgery, radiography and medical physics to work on collaborative research projects developing possible new cancer treatments. refurbishment of Charles Bell House for UCL. A demanding project that will provide a student hub, various teaching facilities and specialist laboratories such as sequencing and pre-sequencing, histology and specialist imaging facilities.

The project construction is being undertaken by Mullaley with Flatt providing the M&E design and Hawkins Brown architecture.
