79-85 Monier Road in Hackney Wick has now reached practical completion.
This project consists of two separate blocks made up of 120 apartments in total. There are commercial units at ground floor, pavement level with landscaping, play spaces and car parking.
The development is served by a common energy centre that supplies both blocks with an LPHW distribution network. This feeds a Heat Interface Unit in each apartment.
Connections have been made in the energy centre for the future connection to a district heat network when available in the area. There are proposals to extend the Kings Yard heat network to serve Hackney Wick and the adjacent development known as ‘Fish Island’; although this is still in initial planning.
